I have no bias on the subject mostly because I have no opinion on the 
subject. :-)  I don't claim to know what the general opinion in Japan
about Unicode or Han unification is (or would be).

My point is that if I *did* need to know that, then I could not form a
reliable estimate of Japanese opinion based on the comments of one person
who clearly has strong opinions on the matter himself.
