This year's model (046d:08cb) supports YUY2 at all sorts of lower resolutions. (See the frame format matrix that I posted as part of https://lists.berlios.de/pipermail/linux-uvc-devel/2006-November/000932.html) Sorry, I really should have guessed you were using the old one from the 1024x576 resolution ...
