Hello as I stated I have experience with 1 SPC620 and one SPC1000 webcams. The
620 does support only YUV the 1000 supports MJPEG additionally.
Skype test works fine with both of them. luvcview is defaulted to use MJPEG, so
you have to run it with -f YUV to get the job done.
I was not able to get any other app working with either SPC620/1000 webcam. I
tried mplayer. vlc and xawtv. I read there is a patch for this issue for
mplayer (because this is my favourite), but didn't test it.
So may be it's not only the format (i.e. YUV) but also another issue how device
and data is handled by the app itself.
