Bonsoir,
je constate de très mauvaises performances graphiques sur deux machines
équipée de cartes ATI 3D Rage 128, l'une est un PII 350 et l'autre
est un PIII800, et la vitesse du proc ne change rien.
chaque machine est très confortablement fournie en RAM, et les cartes
graphiques disposent de 8 Mo dont une partie seulement est utilisée
(1280x1024x24 bits). Les cartes graphiques ne sont pas de modèle identiques
(Rage Mobility et All in Wonder) ni du meme age.
les deux machines tournent sous Debian Woody avec XFree 4.1.0-9 et
des noyaux 2.4.x (.12 et .16)
certains jeux comme lxdoom fonctionnent parfaitement et très rapidement,
mais en revanche d'autres comme tuxracer sont hyper-lents, par exemple
le curseur souris met plusieurs secondes avant de bouger et les animations
sont lamentables.
je ne vois pas d'où ça pourrait venir, alors si quelqu'un a une idée, voici
ce qui me semble intéressant sur l'une des deux configs :
