ah, now there is some good questions. The access point/router has the dhcp turned on and the access point/router ip is 198.162.1.1. I've noticed in Windows that dhcp is also turned on and has assigned the computer itself a ip address. Do I gather that there are 2 dchp servers running? Is that the same with linux?
