Hi Brian,

Did you check with the DamnSmall Linux, which is based on Knoppix? I prefer
Puppy, but I'm looking at the new one called Absolute Linux with a Gui in 32
Meg RAM, that's based on Slackware. If memory serves the boot partition is
better off being something other that Grub.

Good luck,
Joan

My Problem arises from Installing from bootup everything goes great until
it reboots

and the PC says " No OS Installed " so i booted from a win98 Floppy and

removed all FAT partitions, went back and reinstalled DSL on hda1, rebooted
and still

I'm getting "No O/S Installed on bootup, Again , Ive Realized that I cant
get DSL to install

without a FDISK partition so I went back and made a FAT partition, it Copies
everything to the

HD and I Say make GRUB my bootloader but still reboots and says cant find
OS

It runs Great booting From the CD running in RAM, Ive even tried cfdisk
and all options that doesnt work at all

i know the HD is good cause win98 see's it in FDISK, what can i do to get
DSL bootloader

to Start working , or to take over the FAT Boot record>? Any ideas
would be great

        thanks
