OK, I thnik my two linux and win xp,boxes are stable after a very
close lightening strike a few months ago.
I would like to get back to getting the two systems talking to
each other.
I have lan cards in both and no router so use twisted pair
cabling.
The first question that comes to mind is, how do I determine if
the Ubuntu box card is good and not dead after the lightening strke.
The rest of the system seems normal. The next has to be where do I
start.
I am also researching in help, but am not good at finding answers
there. Hopefully I will be able to get two meetings of a local LUG
in early spring.
