Try navigating manually (via command line or Konqueror window) to the desktop folder (/home/guest/Desktop); IIRC the install script is there, it just doesn't display on the desktop like it should. This non-display of desktop items only happens with the LiveCD, not actual HD installs (of which I've now done three).
