I believe that as Fedora is a US based company, they're simply
prohibited because Adobe are doodie heads.

The unofficial Fedora FAQ gives a straight forward explanation of
getting flash working in a 64 bit browser.

I haven't been following the thread--without arguing one way or the
other, I don't follow top-posted threads because I'm too busy to scroll
down and see what the heck the thing is about.

However, judging from the subject, it seems as if you're having trouble
with Ubuntu and youtube. Ubuntu, even in x86_64 versions, has always
pretty much worked out of the box for me with flash, as long as I do
aptitude install flash-plugin-nonfree or whatever it's called these
days.

Generally speaking, 64 bit browsers are seldom a problem with flash
anymore. At one point, there were certainly issues, but I'd say that
for quite awhile, it's been OK.

As for Fedora, they emphasize not using proprietary drivers, but again,
a quick google for the unofficial fedora faq--it's linked from their
forums in the list of links at the top--will give a step by step that
works for most people.
