I am guessing that the 'sd[x]' might now be intended for SATA drives, but 'sd[x]' is typically what Linux assigns to SCSI drives, and 'hd[x]' is assigned to PATA (aka ATA) drives, so I'm not sure what then happens with SCSI drives, if 'sd[x] is handling SATA and (possibly) PATA, if 'hd[x] is actually deprecated. 'sda' is also often assigned to Flash memory cards, IIRC. - -- - -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ http://robertwittig.net/ http://robertwittig.org/ . -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFJMaDi4790tgvai6gRAvJOAKCsu841lJgESTPutkzkl5uWWFKhiACfbnkd xE3tissLHOHbFSKOL9Ef6dg= =tzo2 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------ To unsubscribe from this list, please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] & you will be removed.Yahoo!
