Are you certain of this?

I am guessing that the 'sd[x]' might now be intended for SATA drives,
but 'sd[x]' is typically what Linux assigns to SCSI drives, and
'hd[x]' is assigned to PATA (aka ATA) drives, so I'm not sure what
then happens with SCSI drives, if 'sd[x] is handling SATA and
(possibly) PATA, if 'hd[x] is actually deprecated.

'sda' is also often assigned to Flash memory cards, IIRC.
