You'd be happly surprised at what will run on that machine. To give you
an idea my wife's laptop is a 1999 Toshiba w/ a P-III 750mhz processor,
192mb RAM and 16GB HD. She's running albeit a bit slow due to less than
recommended memory. She's been running Ubuntu for a few years now. I
have a P-II 450Mhz/256MB/20GB HD old dell thats happly running Xubuntu 8.04.
Give a couple of distro's a spin and enjoy.
