I wouldn't call it trouble, just different. Linux is naturally more of a chain of events than Windows usually is when it comes to printing. Though I believe that Windows can also use the same Postscript preprocessor as Linux does, lots less actually go through the trouble. I say I believe because even I've never been in the minority that has ever bothered to install such on Windows. It is for me, one of those exotic oddities I've only just read about.
