What license is linuxbios under? I'm assuming GPL. However I didn't see any specific reference on the webpage and grepping the latest CVS source tree for GPL only yeilds about 10 lines of results indicating that a few of the utils are GPL.
I ask because I have a project that we are quoteing on that will require the BIOS to do image self-validation via: United States Federal document # FPS 180-1 for Secure Hash Algorithm United States Federal document # FPS-186-1 for Digital Security Standard Shoehorning the above into our current COTS bios developemnt kit looks to be really painful. Especially since they just changed the support contract to cost lots more $$ for advanced stuff like this. So I'm hoping I will finally have enough leverage to switch to linuxBIOS for this project but I worry that the algos involved with the above (which I have yet to read) may conflict with the GPL. -- Richard A.
