Adam, I had a brief look at the epia-m code a few weeks ago and found the same issues with the buildtarget and compile issues all over the place. The tree that is there is very broken, and it took me a while just to get it to compile. I found a number of run-time issues, then I fried my test board! I am awaiting a replacement.
