Odd, on redhat 5.1 here, makemap is located in /usr/bin/makemap. As far as
I remember, it has always been in /usr/bin, not /usr/sbin.

I am confused by your report. What do you get when you do

        rpm -qf /usr/bin/makemap

I am getting "sendmail-8.8.7-17"

If you are getting that and makemap is located in /usr/sbin, then I really
don't know what is going on.
