        I like the features of Star Office (I have used 5.0/5.1).  
Unfortunately, this suite is a memory PIG and that is the one thing that I 
really don't like about it.  You can load Linux on a slower machine (486/33 
w/ 8 MB RAM) and have it run fine (can't do that w/ win95 & NOT w/ win98).  
Load up SO on that machine and you have PROBLEMS (even w/ swap space).  That 
is why I will most likely use WP8, MOST of the time (I can't wait till the 
rest of the suite comes out).  I am also very interested in trying out the 
ApplixWare suite.
        I wish SO would implement some changes to improve the suite's speed 
and the efficiency of its memory usage.  Some suggestions: don't load so many 
features into memory when the suite starts up.  Only load up the most 
commonly used features and components (ie the wordprocessor and the 
spreadsheet)  Also, include a configuration menu (for advanced users) to tell 
the suite on startup which features and components the user wants loaded up.  
(if the suite has these features I haven't found them, if it does I apologize)
        One last thing:  I know that this e-mail isn't exactly appropriate,
