Yeh thats right, but once ya learn the ropes its cool runnin as root. I've
been using my box as root for as long as i know.

R the users added correctly & is the passwords right... To check if ya have
added a user & for confirmation do a "grep username /etc/passwd" for a
match.
Pal how can ya su to other username???. U
always su to root , isnt it so ??.

check ya permissions for the X-Server libs & directories in /usr/X11 &
/usr/X11R6 also check for permissions on the "startx" scripts.
