Nope, it is never cool running as root. Reasons:
- You leave your terminal unattended (even if it is at home)
- You want to delete a file named -rf
- You have . in your PATH and someone puts a trojan named ls in a
directory you visit often.

Nope, su - <username>, or just su <username>
