Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
Hi,
I think there is some problem with the list, since I have not got any
replies for my mail.
So either Parag didn't reply
OR
ILUG-Bom mailing list is broken
OR
VSNL servers are crooked :-)
There is one more problem with all Indians (including me), we are too inward
looking, we should be trying to benchmark ourselves with somebody who is
better than us.
Now, I don't mean to say that foreigners are a superior race than us, just
that we should be looking out to improving ourselves like what the Japanese
did.
That won't be possible unless we stop telling ourselves that 70% of our
country doesn't have place to shit, but rather acknowledge the fact that we
have become too lazy and used to living in our past.
Its time we looked outwards and did something for our country.
And that's exactly the reason why I am not leaving my country and is also
the reason for me comparing and not being satisfied with what we get.
The moment you start getting satisfied you get sucked into a imaginary world
of cool complacence.
Thats when you are DOOMED.
The guys who got out were not just "Simply Clever", but they probably had no
reason left to live around here, probably they were too tired of fighting
and probably gave up, OR probably they saw the world as it is and didn't go
about chasing delusions, or hoping that one day things will change.
