Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
Dudes ,
I hav purchased an old i486 notebook(Compaq) , 66MHz ,
16MB RAM , 11 inch colour TFT & a 250 MB HDD( NOTE: NO CDROM).
I want to get LINUX running on this . This is a real challenge .
Using any of the standard distros prepackaged onto CDROMS is outta the
question.
I could get the notebook to the coming LUG meeting & we could hack
to glory. But ny ideas how it could be done??.
