I had enabled "network" service with "ntsysv" so that network starts at
the boot time itself. From what happened, I learned that network interface
lo should be active for fetchmail and sendmail to work. I had not enabled
it since I use the machine as Desktop and did not see any reason to start
any networking services. But after understanding [a little of] how
Sendmail and Fetchmail are working, I have put enabled "network" service
to start at boot up itself. Thanks to all.

Fetchmail works fine now. And if this mail reaches the ML then Sendmail is
also working fine. [Which will mean that I have been able to set the
Masquerading rule properly].
BTW, what is Netmask? And what do the nos. 255.0.0.0 [or something like
that] means.
