Your modem manual should contain a list of all commands supported by your modem, with
a detailed explanation of what each command does. If the GVC manual doesn't contain
the command list, the D-Link one definitely does. Commands are standard, so even the
D-Link commands will work for your modem.
Works with redhat and doesn't work with slackware... which s/w are you using on each?
Did you try sending the commands with minicom?
