Mahogany has been a horrible experience every time I tried using it,
which should be about half a dozen times by now.
If it reflects the state of wxWindows, I'd rather not use it.
Another project worth watching though is Lazarus (don't remember the URL
-- try freshmeat). It's an attempt to make an open source clone of
Delphi using Free Pascal as the base.
The Lazarus team has, IIRC, taken over development of Free Pascal too.
I have about two years of experience programming with Delphi (all the
way from 1.0 to 5.0) and therefore hung out on the Lazarus list for a
while intending to help with the coding. Then I found that I didn't have
any spare time.
This was almost a year ago. I haven't checked on Lazarus since (I've
converted to interpreted languages now, Python in particular), but
Lazarus should have advanced considerably. Do take a peek at it.
