To all you Linux fans,
I have had some difficulty installing RHL6.0 because of badblocks
on my hard disk. The copying process would hang after some 425MB
had been copied. The kernel gave me the message that there is an
uncorrectable error on LBAsector no. xxxx. The "check for badblocks"
option during format was of no use. So I simply made my installation
size smaller and the installation proceeded without any problems.
Now I am afraid to install new programs because if the used space
exceeds the limit of 425MB, I may experience problems as I had to
during my last installation(I had to first run fsck -A and then
reboot each time to use Linux). The badblocks program also gives an
uncorrectable error on the disk. Can someone please recommend a
solution so I can make full utilisation of my disk(1.4GB).

Regards,
Chrisil.
