I did! In fact thats what started this qmail adventure off any way ...

But I configured qmail to send local mails through procmail, so that they
are sent to /var/spool/mail/$USER.
On reading the documentation further, I realised that qmail will not send
any mails to root. These are redirected to the 'alias' user created during
installation. The 'alias' file I had been seeing in the spool directory was
infact the mbox for this user. This also receives all the bounce and error
messages for 'postmaster' and 'MAILER-DAEMON'.
So now I realise that there had never been any error ... I am trying out
the next step now, ie, getting qmail to handle outgoing mail properly. The
documentation mentions envelope-header modification etc which I am trying
to study. But the confusing part is getting qmail to use a remote relay
server instead of trying to deliver mails itself. I couldnt find any clear
instructions on this yet ...
I want to setup qmail such that all mails from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" should be
handed over to the smtp.foo.com server while those from "[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
should be handed over to the smtp.foobar.com server
Any pointers?
Sameer.
