Hi All,
Conducting free workshops is a good idea. But people are liable to
take advantage of the word free. Plus for setting up a free workshop you
need infrastructure like pc's with blank hdd's. Nagarjuna maybe able to
provide 1/2 pc's but enough machines for a workshop will be difficult.
So my suggestion is this the workshop will be free but the
participants should bring their own machines. It could be their own machines
or clients machines. The machines will include a network card & the LUG
would supply the cable. A thin ethernet cable will be pretty cheap to buy.
So we can setup a rudimentary network & people can learn.
I know the logistics are very difficult. But like I said just my
suggestion. All criticisms are welcome.
