hi there sherlock,

> dude monoply isnt obtained by being a saint

>Oh god! how naive of me. I am eternally grateful to recieve this
>gem of knowledge. Yea! wait till u get shafted by them. Or maybe
>they have already got you by your paying them for the crap.

Thats where the problem lies in this world, emotions. First of all cool
it!!!! i may not have read all the books that u prob have , but i bet one of
them has keepin ur cool as its what shall i say KEY POINTS. And while we are
at business ethics my dear nice fella again excuse me for me not havin read
all those books that u probably stack up , i just know one business ethic or
moral or watever customer, and repeat customer, and more customers and if u
havent made it out just yet il give u a hint its CUSTOMERS. And that M$ has
more than any of our redhats or whatever hats.
But please allow me to make it clear that m not a M$ evangalist. I just
believe that u gotta acknowldege that foss cant match microsoft in every
segment. Now u might say that the windows market share in desktop secotor is
dropping but its somewhat like maruti u know itl drop but still they will
have more than half of the market for atleast 10-15 years from now.

And morals and ethics that went out of the window long time back not just
from business but from our world in geenral. What else can explain the
re-election of tyrant in the country of maximum of ur moral and ethical
brothers(and sisters if i might say that).

Now one thing more, the reason i have joined this mailing list is because i
personally like using Linux and the community process asssociated with it
and moreover i would like to get good at it..And i support the idea that
people should have a choice. But i dont believe that a complete disregard
for what a rival is doing will do any good to my cause. So dude chill, take
it easy. And ya piracy where did i mention my likin of piracy? And thanks
for the info which i was diein to get from a learned person like you about
GNU/Linux. Thanks a lot.( With all ur sarcasm,i guess u got my point)

> u got to play dirty and

>are at it you can present the same argument to all and sundry and

>> fines well the fines have been for anti monoply suites whr M$ which

>> like wats 3 billion to microsoft nothin much i would say...
>> and wat hapnd to the bundeled IE case against m$ doesnt look like
>> there is much headway and netscape can go on reinventing itself
>> from borrowed code, it aint doin any good

>You really need to read. They have lost 70% of the webserver market,
70%????????? i dont know if we are switchin identites here but as far as i
know M$ never had 70% of webserver market share. (Heard of apache - the most
popular web server). Well probably those morals and ethics books dont have
that bit... sorry

>10% of the browser market since firefox hit them, 20% of the desktop
>market in the last two yrs. Inspite of their illegal practices,
>money, and fud.
>But that is not enough. evertime u use or cause others to use M$
>products u are rewarding illegal and obnoxious behaviour either in
>cash or by providing the next set of victims for exploitation. That
>is the only lesson to be learnt.
Regarding me causin others to use M$ i guess i made it clear that i upport
the idea of havin a choice.. But i do believe that m$ will always be there
as all users are not the same and never will be for some m$ is good for some
linux is heaven. I guess u havent heard of this - Paanchon Ungliyan Barabar
Nahin Hoti.(All fingers are not of the same size- in case u dont know hindi)

Regards,
Puneet
