Are you able to boot other bootable linux CDs? Booting
from a CD should not be a problem.

My experience with Xandros 3 (single cd) was
disappointing. Its lilo in the root partition does not
integrate with an existing grub in the mbr. External
modem detection was pathetic and the dialup does not
work. Sound too was not detected. Maybe as an expert
you will be able to make it work better but I suggest
that you go to the Xandros forums and go through the
problems mentioned by users.
