I haven't tried Google Crome in Linux however in doze, it can be 
installed by a user without any admin access. Even in Linux, I could 
install Google Earth without root access. This is not good from the 
admin point of view. Crome does not support Firefox plugins and does not 
have any plugin to download (and convert)  YouTube and other videos into 
the machine.
