Govt already passed a bill to make it legal.
Bill is called ("THE NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION AUTHORITY OF INDIA BILL, 2010").
And there are several issues that need to be sorted out in this bill.
And thankfully people are fighting in courts (and inside govt) to fix
these. For example, to limit powers of agency collecting information.
