In existing sequencers on linux it's rather hard or even mission impossible to make channel change within one track (referring to rosegarden at first place). Even sending program change is not really handy. Good example of what I need is drum battery (kick drum as one channel, snare at next and so on). Or changing articulation of solo instrument within one .gig file or multiple files, for that matter... Bowed string and pizzicato usually came like separate files but are obviously property of one instrument and should appear on at the same staff, triggered with _arco_ and _pizz_ directions.
Is it possible to group channels in qsampler or jsampler so I can mute or solo the whole group? Another related question is if linuxsampler with many samples loaded but only one soloing takes the same amount of memory as just one (soloing) instrument loaded? Thank you in advance, Vlada P.S. Keep up the good work! :) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by the 2008 JavaOne(SM) Conference Don't miss this year's exciting event.
