Currently there is no such feature in jsampler. I can consider
implementing it, but for now I have some more urgent features and
fixes to make. But for start lets clarify how this is expected to
work. Here is how I see it. Select some sampler channels, add them to
a group (through menu command, shortcut key, etc). The group will be
represented by a panel similar to the sampler channel panel with
screen which will provide some information about the group (the
channel range in this group e.g. 10-22(or the number of channels in
this group) , group name (instead of instrument name) e.g. Drum kit,
etc) with solo and mute buttons for soloing/muting all channels in the
group, button for expanding/collapsing the channels in the group. And
maybe some other features like options to lock the volume/MIDI
input/Audio output - in that case the volume/MIDI input/Audio output
will be the same for all channels and will be controlled through the
channel group panel.
Any suggestions, comments, remarks?
