I'm launching Fantasia from a terminal using: /usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.21/bin/java -jar Fantasia-0.9.jar
/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-run-1.6.0.21/bin/java -version reports java version "1.6.0_21" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_21-b06) Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 17.0-b16, mixed mode, sharing) Admittedly, the compiler version is still the same, the Eclipse Java Compiler, but I don't know if this has an effect on the compiled binary yet. Oddly enough, JS_Classic seems to be drawn fine, but a blank box appears where the 'proccessing' box would appear when updating the instruments database. Andrew.
