yeah, I know, but it seemed as though my views were challenged. (not
aggressively)
so , I really just wanted to clarify. cool...cool I like the way that sounds.

I think we're seeing eye to eye on that. I didn't mean that I want linux to
dominate
the OS world in an aggressive sence of the word, but it is a more relative and
passive sense of the word dominated.
For example.....Mother Teressa dominated the ministry to the poor scene for
many years.....but she never had a
dominating attitude.... That is to say that I used the word dominating in
speaking about Microsoft, and dominated in
reference to linux. I had a more passive sense of the word dominated in mind.
It seems to me that Microsoft is forcefully trying to dominate the OS (and
other areas of the CIS) world.
I think it would be good if linux had a more prevalent footprint in the CIS
world. Meaning that they became
more widely used, and were more usable for the quality of the product. And that
that would just be a result
of good workmanship, good advertising and good customer service. Not by means
of trying to dominate the
CIS world by force like Hitler tried to dominate europe for example. (I
know....that's not a good example)
If their existed a more "passive domination" of linux, then it just seems to me
that it would have the
effect of keeping Microsoft honest.

Actually, that is why I joined the group also, but I also got the feeling that
the groups intention was to
help propagate linux. (I could be wrong....it just seemed that way to me.)

Thanks, I will take a look at it.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that, (I mean I might, but I'm just
not sure)
so if you want to clarify that's cool. If not, that's cool too.

That, I think, is a good example of what is happening here. I think I made the
mistake
of not making myself as clear as I should have, and by just typing fast and
using the
first words that came to my mind, the result was a little confusion on what I
was trying to say.
As I read your responses, it seems to me that I see things much the same way
that y'all see it.
I really don't hate Microsoft. I must emphasize, once again, that as a
customer, I am not satisfied
with their product, and my protest is my little way of keeping them honest. If
Microsoft were to change
their ways, and be more customer relations sensitive, I would be more inclined
to support them.
I would be a satisfied customer. That doesn't change the fact that I believe
that Microsoft is not like a
bullet train heading down a track at high speed in such a way that probably
nothing will change their
direction,

Needless to say, I appreciate your input.
Paul
