sudo update-rc.d NetworkManager remove


Personally I think the new network manager for intrepid really sucks
that's what I thought the first time I saw it.

if you ever do put that computer in a place where you need a networkmanager
(I know:...unlikely) don't forget about knetworkmanager. It works great in 
gnome.
