It would be one thing if the 3g on the G1 failed to work due to software with the AT&T 3g network. The issue with the G1 is hardware, at least with the current model, and so it will never work with AT&Ts 3g network, or any other carrier using a different frequency, Sure, I almost never need 3g, but that could change, and why buy hardware that doesn't work. The G1 is the first phone using android, and I am willing to wait for the correct situation or for the G1 or Pre to come over to AT&T.
I haven't seen anyone crack a Pre yet... I wonder if 3g on the Pre will work with AT&T (wow that rhythms). Chris...
