This is the mother of all portable media players. http://www.cowonamerica.com/products/iaudio/7/
I got the 4gb model for $79 or so, off Amazon. Only drawback is it's tiny screen. Almost need to use glasses to make out the menus. Battery life is amazing. I charge it once a week at most with 5 to 8 hours use a day. I'm looking at this perhaps, http://www.iriverinc.com/LPlayers/LP_Features.htm looks like a larger screen and a little easier to read. It's also under $80. I loved my last iRiver. It had a little joystick and three buttons to control it all. Never had to take my eyes off the road to switch modes or songs. Only 512mb Ram though so I replaced it with the iAudio 7. --Manny On Sat, Jun 13, 2009 at 9:30 AM, Dante Lanznaster<[email protected]> wrote: > I still prefer my 30GB 1st gen Zune. :) > > BTW, it works awesome with my XBOX360 too  > > On Sat, Jun 13, 2009 at 5:58 AM, Chris Penn <[email protected]> wrote: >> >> With the discussion about cellphones, I thought I would bring up my >> mp3 player of choice. >> >> First off, I hate the IPod because of the incredible hassle it has >> been over the years transferring and ($I%$%ing) syncing music under >> Linux.
