I have to use my Windows laptop for work and find it frustrating not having a *nix environment when I need to do certain things on the command line. Ever since I started using Cygwin, I've really disliked the the DOS-like interface.
Finally, I found a tool to let me use PuTTY as a front end. http://code.google.com/p/puttycyg/ It's very simple to install.
