If you look at Mac sales, and web apps, Microsoft is a sinking ship. More
and more stuff is going web based, hell even document creation. Because of
this you now can run your 'program' anywhere on anything. Now there is a
point to where its just not possible to do a web app, but businesses are
starting to get smart and starting to make there apps run on Mac. Or even on
mobile devices, which are less and less Microsoft based. Now where Microsoft
has its hold, businesses, thats starting to get less and less, here come the
Mac's, and or web apps. The one issue that I have with Mac's in the work
place is the control we have with Windows AD and updates. There is no
corporate Mac management software. Until this changes, Apple is going to
have one hell of a hard time replacing Windows in the corporate work place.
As for the home PC, from what ive seen, people are starting to make the
switch. What I would love to see happen is Apple sell OSX, at a premium
price, to be put on any computer. They would really need to update there
drive model, but I think its completely possible. Do a certified hardware
program like Microsoft does. Hell if you want to be an ass about piracy, TPM
chips must be included, im sure mobo manufactures would do it. And why I say
updated driver model, gamers, and new hardware, the driver system has to be
flexible. Its going to take a very long time till Windows hits 50% or less
of the market, but it will come. And that will be a very happy day for me.
Anyways, that's my 2c.
