Cut doesn't work. Copy doesn't work. Paste doesn't work.

The Klipper keyboard tool appears to work, because I can copy/cut/paste to and
from Firefox, and they show up in the Klipper widget/gadget/whatever at the
bottom of the screen.

The konsole also allows copy and paste to work, but doesn't put contents into
Klipper; I don't know if this is normal or not.

Nothing special. I work continually at my desk during the day. I have no idea
when it stopped, but sometimes this morning; I know only that I made NO system
changes of any kind, and the next time I went to paste something into an email
it didn't work.

My testing showed that it doesn't work at all in KDE stuff.

If I couldn't reproduce the problem I'd be very happy. I can't not reproduce
the problem. It continues to occur. Do you really need me to go through the
steps in a copy and paste operation? It doesn't work with keyboard shortcuts,
it doesn't work with mouse clicks on menus. It doesn't work when I use the
keyboard to highlight to copy, and it doesn't work when I use the mouse to
highlight to copy.

Every time above where I wrote copy, the problem is the same for cut, where
applicable (obviously in the konsole cut isn't applicable).
