I really believe my problems are that Ubuntu is designed for non-knowledgeable 
end-users and is too dumbed down.  That said, I'm with it for now; having 
Randall's knowledge available is a big plus for me.  I may know a bit about 
server stuff, but when it comes to desktops, even though I've run Linux close 
to exclusively since 2005, I'm still a beginner.
