If you do not have the time to learn Linux and you have a lack of Linux friends to help you, OSX is a good option; OSX is a far better choice than Windows.
I know how to use Linux and so OSX is pointless. I do not know why anyone would choose OSX if they already know how to use Linux. The only reason I can think of is that a person might need some software that runs on OSX and not on Linux. Even in that case, you do not need to make OSX your primary OS...IMO. Chris...
