I've got my new Laptop; Toshiba Sattelite, i7, 650GB HD, 6GB memory. Runs W7. I've tested some live CDs and I've settled on Kubuntu 12.04.
Which method would you recommend for installing it? Two come to mind: WUBI (installs Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Xubunt5 from inside Windows: http://wubi.sourceforge.net/ LiveCD (install Kubuntu from the LiveCD, alongside Windows in a new partition) https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GraphicalInstall/Kubuntu VirtualBox (install linux in a Virtual machine -- I don't know how to install Kubuntu in the Virtual Box, but this site give a good tutorial) http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/virtualbox So, which method would you use? And why. All suggestions appreciated for me, and for the archives. Thanks.
