Note that I know this is offtopic and I'll not post on the subject again if
there are no responses. But my guess is there's someone who reads here who
knows the answer. Anyone, I hope so.

Anyone have experience with installing Windows 8 preview on a linux box? I'm
running the setup program download now, but from the Windows website I get
the impression that while it can create an ISO from which I can create a DVD,
the DVD will only install on a system already running Windows 7 or Vista.

The site says there's a place I can simply download an ISO, but I can't find
it.

I can't believe they limit running the preview to only people who already
Windows installed; that way they'll never get input from anyone who only has
one computer and doesn't want to take the step of updating their working
Windows setup (which they warn against).

Does anyone know how I can do the Preview install without having a spare
system with Windows on it?

Thanks.

Jeff
