It is actually a logitech wireless headset with mic I use for skype
and only skype.

Right now I did a fresh install of Ubuntu Jaunty 64bit and redid
everything I had learned in the first go around and it works perfect
now.

I was using 32 bit before wonder if that made any difference.  Now the
only thing I have to do is get this Ipod Touch working.
