I think it goes back and forth. A few years ago, AMD all the way. Now, though, things like the i7 just don't have any comparable competition from AMD (last I checked, at least). My most recent purchase was Intel based, the one before that was AMD. I hope the next one is AMD, because it will mean Intel has a reason to get better.
