I'm not really drawn to what technology they churn out - i7, phenom, or
otherwise. I just ask myself:

1. Is it cost-effective?
2. Does my OS support it?
3. Will my apps run?
4. Will the new features be beneficial to me directly? or is it negligible
(hype?)

Works for me each and every time.
