I am in the process of trying to decide which scripting language to learn for building a dynamic website. By dynamic I mean that it will be using data in a mySQL database to determine what is displayed on the site. My first rendition of the site isn't going to have any fancy graphics, I'm primarily concerned with functionality. I've read a number of articles the advocate php and/or perl, and I'm curious what pros and cons have been found by those that have experience with one/or both of these languages. Thanks in advance.
