It worked! Now, how to make it stick. I'm new to Xubuntu and it took be a bit to figure out how to change the read only file resolv.conf. I found out how to change it using Alt-F2 but every time I plug my DSL line it, it gets changed back. I don't understand why since it is a read only file. How do you make the changes stick?
BTW. Why would my ISP give a broke nameserver?
