Sorry for the OT, but why not use Gparted, which is on the Live-CD
anyway?
easy to use and i never had any issues with it the past few
years(plus, it saves another cd/dvd ;) )
If the Live-CD starts, it should works on an old pc too, tried it on
an old Compaq Armada!
again, sorry for OT!
oh, and enjoy linux, it has a leanrning-curve, if you want a nice and
productive OS, but it's totally worth it!
